It shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone to learn that multi-million dollar hypercars are often only driven once in a while by their owners. That’s not the case with this Pagani Huayra Roadster.

Instagrammer user 1slocrx took delivery of a stunning Huayra Roadster in the middle of last year, drives it frequently and has completed a number of epic road trips with it. His most recent road trip is easily the most ambitious to date, as he drove coast-to-coast across the United States in the Italian hypercar.

The journey, which appears to have taken less than 3 days, saw the Huayra Roadster cover no less than 2936 miles (4725 km). That’s probably more than many Huayras will ever be driven and shows that just because a car is as expensive, exclusive and exotic as a Pagani, that doesn’t mean it can’t handle a long journey just as well as anything else.

Pagani unveiled the Huayra Roadster at the Geneva Motor Show in early 2017. It features a 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12 engine developed by Mercedes-AMG that delivers 754 HP and 738 lb-ft (1000 Nm) of torque and is paired with the same 7-speed automated manual transmission as the hardcore Huayra BC. Remarkably, and unlike most convertibles that are heavier than their fixed-top counterparrs, the Huayra Roadster actually weighs 176 lbs (80 kg) less than the Coupe.

In the U.S., prices for a Huayra Roadster start at around $2.5 million excluding taxes, though we imagine the carbon fiber-finished paint job bumped up that price significantly. Here’s hoping it has a clear wrap that protected it from any stone chips it may have suffered in its long journey.
