The Nissan Note Nismo Black Limited edition is the latest in a long list of JDM models denied to the rest of the world.

As the name suggests, it’s a special edition treatment that can be applied to the Note e-Power Nismo, Note e-Power Nismo S, and Note Nismo S. The package is designed to give the Note Nismo an even sportier appearance courtesy of a black hood stripe, black roof, as well as black exterior elements including the shark fin antenna, roof spoiler, and side mirrors.

The Note Nismo Black Limited is only available with two exterior colors: brilliant white pearl and dark metal grey. The Black Limited pack also makes some popular options standard such as the LED headlights, Intelligent Cruise Control (excluding Note Nismo S), and navigation system preparation.

As this is strictly an appearance and equipment package, the mechanical side of things remains unchanged. The Note e-Power Nismo series hybrid delivers 109 hp (110 PS) and 187 lb-ft (253 Nm) of torque from a 1.2-liter gasoline three-cylinder generator that feeds a small 1.5-kWh battery. The e-Power Nismo S version offers 134 HP (136 PS) and 320 Nm (236 lb-ft) of torque from an upgraded version of the same hybrid powertrain.

As for the non-hybrid Note Nismo S, it packs a 1.6-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder gasoline engine making 138 HP (140 PS) and 163 Nm (120 lb-ft) of torque. Following its debut at the Tokyo Motor Show later this month, the special edition model will go on sale across Japan in November with a starting price of 2,682,900 yen (approximately $24,975) for the Note Nismo S Black Limited.
