Authorities in the UK recently pulled over a car with a tire in such a horrible state of disrepair that it was undoubtedly putting the driver’s health at risk.

These images shared online by the Public Protection Team from police in Derby shows a black minivan with a front driver’s side tire that features 14 huge bubbles in the sidewall of various sizes.

Needless to say it’s not too often that you’ll find vehicles driving around with bubbles on their tire sidewalls because most car owners are smart enough to realize this isn’t normal.

Such bubbles are usually created following damage to the tire’s inner liner that allows air to escape in the sidewall and can happen after hitting a pothole or curb. The tire of this particular car was likely compromised from the moment the first bubbles was created and since then, more and more bubbles have started to appear as the owner kept on driving.

An officer reportedly pulled over the car after noticing the tire damage and directed it to a nearby tire shop to get a replacement. It probably would have been a good idea for the owner to also replace the other three tires as we suspect they were also either bald or far too old to still be used.

Had this tire exploded when the owner was driving on a motorway, it could have easily triggered a dangerous crash putting not only the driver at risk but also any potential passengers and other road users.
