2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E First Edition Already Sold Out In The USA

Less than two weeks after its launch, the Ford Mustang Mach-E First Edition has already been sold out in the United States.

The First Edition model was available to pre-order on Ford’s customer website for a refundable $500 deposit, but the model was quietly removed from the Mach-E’s configurator recently.

Asked by Roadshow why it is no longer featured in the configurator, a Ford representative replied: “Yes, the First Edition is sold out in the U.S.” The public relations officer did not reveal how many Mustang Mach-E First Edition orders had been taken, though.

“We are not providing any numbers and encouraging customers to place orders for the other models due to limited sales volumes in the first year,” the spokesperson added.

2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E 4X First Edition

For the first year of production, the Mustang Mach-E will be made in a global run of 50,000 units due to limited battery supplies, and it’s unknown how many will end up in the States. As for the First Edition, Ford previously told Roadshow that the model would be “very limited”, although it is still available to pre-order in Europe.

2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E 4X First Edition

U.S. customers who were lucky enough to secure a 2021 Mustang Mach-E First Edition spent at least $59,900 on it (excluding the $1,100 destination fee), but they’ll get their money’s worth.

That’s because the First Edition packs 332 HP (338 PS / 248 kW) and 417 lb-ft (565 Nm), is all-wheel drive and offers a driving range of around 270 miles (435 km) thanks to a 98.8-kWh battery. It will also be the first Mustang Mach-E model to be delivered to customers in late 2020.
