One of the best off-roaders in the market, the Nissan Patrol, has been massively improved for the 2020MY and is now on sale in Australia.

Offered in two trim levels, the Ti and Ti-L, from AU$75,990 and AU$91,990 (US$52,363-US$63,388), respectively, before on-road costs, it’s powered by the 5.6-liter V8, developing 405 PS (400 HP) and 560 Nm (413 lb-ft) of torque, matched to a seven-speed automatic transmission.

The new Patrol comes with four-wheel drive, electronic rear diff lock, improved dampers and a host of standard safety systems, like Intelligent Emergency Braking, Intelligent Forward Collision Warning and Rear Cross Traffic Alert. The Ti-L adds Lane Departure Warning, Intelligent Lane Intervention, Blind Spot Warning, Intelligent Blind Spot Intervention and Intelligent Cruise Control.

Standard equipment in the Patrol Ti includes satellite navigation, surround view monitor, leather trim and electrically adjustable seats, while the Ti-L adds an entertainment system for the second row, Bose premium audio, heated and cooled front seats with memory function on the driver’s side, sunroof and roof rails. Telling the two apart from each other is relatively easy, as the base version has a sportier styling up front, whereas the Ti-L’s front bumper has a more premium look.

In addition to the revised design, the 2020 Patrol gets front and rear LED lights, new 18-inch alloy wheels and can be ordered in one of six colors, including the new Moonlight White, Galaxy Gold and Hermosa Blue. Nissan said that the air conditioning system has been updated as well to provide better airflow.
