When it comes to sloped-roof crossovers, it’s easier to justify a more flamboyant body color than with a more traditional people hauler, especially if the former is something as aggressively-styled as the BMW X6.
The one pictured here, parked at the carmaker’s Abu Dhabi dealership, is wearing Riverside Blue Metallic on the outside, which is a $550 option on a base-spec X6 in the US, but won’t cost you anything extra on the M50i version.
As fans of the German brand will surely know, the color blue is quite popular with M-badged vehicles, so even though Riverside Blue is a bit darker than your exotic Yas Marina Blue for example, it still matches the middle color found within the M-Division logo.

As for the interior, we’re looking at a Full Black Merino setup, which is a pricy $3,350 option, much like the $2,200 Rear-seat entertainment Professional system or the $3,400 Bowers & Wilkins surround sound system.
With no options, the 2020 BMW X6 M50i is priced from $85,650, but as you can see, it really doesn’t take much for the spec to leap past $90,000, or even past the $100,000 mark if you’re feeling generous with yourself and you start adding various packages.
Finally, there is of course way more to this car than meets the eye. The X6 M50i’s 4.4-liter twin turbocharged V8 engine produces 523 HP (530 PS) and 553 lb-ft (750 Nm) of torque, which is enough to get you from zero to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 4.1 seconds – or 4.2 seconds if you’re counting to 100 km/h (62 mph). So lacking in performance, this thing is not.
