If you want an example of the modifications you should never do to a pickup truck, just take a look at this ugly monstrosity recently spotted in Normal, Illinois and shared on Reddit.

The owner of this pickup appears to have got a little carried away when adorning their ride with some custom trimmings to make it stand out. The result is questionable – to say the least.

Let’s start at the top and work our way down, shall we? Well, stretching high into the sky from the tonneau cover is a rear wing that would look more at home on a Toyota Supra from the early 2000s. You may also notice a drawing of what appears to be an assault rifle on the rear window in bright green paint. Next, the entire tailgate has been adorned with bright red lights while the rear quarter panels appear to feature orange-colored lights.

Cast your eyes down further and you will notice a chrome bumper with a mix of red and blue lights as well as a pair of chrome tailpipes. There are also mudflaps the read ‘Keep on Truckin’ and most curiously of all, there are a pair of basketballs hanging off the bumper. We know there are some motorists who get a kick out of fitting chrome-platted balls to tow hooks but this is taking things a step too far.

In fact, if we ever came up behind this pickup while driving, we’d be scared to sit behind it out of fear the basketballs could come loose and bounce directly into the windshield.
