Chances are that if you’re getting a 2020 Ford F-Series Super Duty with the Tremor off-road package, you’re also going to need a winch. Ford Performance Parts is here for you, as it’s launching the new integrated electric winch option specifically designed for the F-Series truck.

The new electric winch by Warn offers 12,000 pounds of winching power and will be available either as a factory-orderable or dealer-installed option for both gas and diesel variants of the Super Duty Tremor pickup.

Ford says it was developed to offer exceptional crash safety and capability, and it’s mounted behind the steel bumper in order to provide optimized airflow and clearance regardless of the chosen engine.

Ford Performance Parts uses a high-tensile strength, abrasion-resistant synthetic cable, capable of dragging almost any rig out of the muck or over an obstacle and even move falling trees that block your chosen trail. It also comes with a wireless remote control, claimed to be the only one in its class. Ford will offer the new integrated winch in mid-2020 for the price of $3,000.

“We developed this unique winch in cooperation with Warn specifically to meet Built Ford Tough truck standards for our new F-Series Super Duty,” said Ron Meredith, Ford truck vehicle personalization planning manager. “Having a winch specially designed to our Built Ford Tough standards gives our hard-working Super Duty customers yet another tool to extend this truck’s capabilities whether at work or on the trail.”

The 2020 Ford F-Series Super Duty Tremor features a maximum towing rating of 15,000 pounds for conventional trailers and 21,900 pounds for gooseneck trailer with the diesel engine. Payload capacity is rated at 4,210 pounds with the new 7.3-liter gas engine.
