A couple of months after the 2021 Kia Seltos premiered for the North American market at November’s LA Auto Show, pricing details for the SUV have surfaced online thanks to Motor 1. These numbers allegedly come from a reader and are yet to be verified. If accurate, they could bode well for the future success of the vehicle.

Kia had already told us that the base LX AWD model would start under $22,000, and checking on it’s U.S. consumer site confirms this, as it’s listed at $21,990 excluding a destination fee. While it’s a little surprising the base model includes all-wheel drive, we’re sure customers won’t be complaining.

What’s new in the alleged leak is pricing on the rest of the range. Should shoppers be willing to sacrifice the all-wheel drive for some more luxury, they can opt for the Seltos S FWD priced at the same $21,990 less the destination fee. With all-wheel drive optioned, the Seltos S starts at $23,490.

One step up in the range takes you to the Seltos EX AWD priced from $25,290. This variant, like the others mentioned, comes outfitted with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine delivering 146 hp and 132 lb-ft (179 Nm) of torque through a CVT.

Buyers in need of a little more grunt can opt for the Seltos S 1.6L Turbo and SX 1.6L Turbo models priced from $25,490 and $27,890 respectively. Details about the added features of these variants remain unclear but as their names suggest, they pack a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 175 hp and 195 lb-ft (264 Nm) of torque. A seven-speed dual-clutch transmission is standard with this engine.

The first Kia Seltos models are tipped to hit U.S. dealerships from the first week of February.
