The driver of a 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray nearly wiped out a group of motorcyclists in the United States recently, dramatic helmet camera vision reveals.

Limited details are available regarding the near-miss although it was filmed in a beautiful area and infuriatingly uploaded in just 360p. For the first half of the video, the filming motorcyclist can be seen chasing the Accelerate Yellow Corvette through the sweeping bends when all of a sudden, the Chevrolet driver hits the brakes and momentarily turns to the left.

The weird movements of the Corvette driver force the motorcyclists to swerve out of the way, with one having to go into the opposite lane to avoid being collected by the sports car. As the motorcyclists look back at the Corvette, it becomes obvious why the driver decided to slow down and swerved to the left; they wanted to do a U-turn.

Yes, in the middle of a wide-open road and around a right-hand bend, the person behind the wheel thought it would be a good time to turn around. Evidently, the driver had no idea there were three motorcyclists on the road behind and it seems as though the Corvette driver could have easily collected them had they not noticed the bikers just moments before turning around.

It appears as though the car is wearing a Michigan manufacturer license plate and is likely a pre-production example possibly being driven by someone related to Chevrolet, a dealer or perhaps even a journalist. Had things gone a little different, this could have easily become just the latest ‘incident’ involving the new C8 Corvette.
