With the 2020 Chicago Auto Show ready to open its doors later today, Toyota has expanded the Nightshade family with the Tacoma, Tundra and Sequoia.

Joining the Camry, Corolla Sedan, Corolla Hatch, 4Runner and Sienna Nightshade models, the special edition versions of the two pickup trucks are limited to 5,000 units each, whereas production of the SUV is capped at 2,500 examples.

Unlike most other Nightshade Editions, which are based on the SE trim level, the Tacoma, Tundra and Sequoia are built on the Limited upper spec. They stand out with the black exterior trim on the side mirror caps and door handles, and darkened chrome grille.

Further updates include the addition of the new grille insert design, black fog lamp bezels and exhaust tip, and 18-inch Dark Smoke alloy wheels on the Tacoma Nightshade. The Tundra Nightshade comes with black wheels and exhaust tip, while the Sequoia Nightshade gets darkened chrome badging, lower grille, fog lamp surrounds and body moldings.

All of them are available in Midnight Black Metallic and Magnetic Gray Metallic paint finishes. The Tacoma and Tundra can be had in the optional Windchill Pearl Look and for additional customization, the Tundra can be ordered in Super White and the Sequoia in Blizzard Pearl.

We’re still waiting for details surrounding the pricing and launch date of each model, but they will probably go on sale this summer, joining the Trail Edition versions of the Tacoma, Tundra and 4Runner, and the Highlander XSE, all of which can be viewed at the Chicago Auto Show.
