If you’re a high school student that doodles cars in their spare time, FCA wants to hear from you as they’re kicking off this year’s Drive for Design Contest.

The contest is open to U.S. high school students in grades 10-12 and they’re being tasked with creating the “ultimate Ram truck of the future.”

According to the project brief, “Ram trucks are like tools. They are designed to serve a specific purpose and/or perform a specific function. Whether it’s for carting around a big family, hauling tools to the jobsite, towing your boat, or delivering packages.” The company then says they want to see your vision of a future Ram truck and what purpose it serves.

Entries are currently being accepted and they need to be submitted by May 1st. In order to enter, students need to create an original design and then submit it to FCADriveForDesign.com

Three winners will be announced on May 8th and the first place prize is a Wacom MobileStudio Pro 16 tablet. 2nd and 3rd place winners will get an Apple iPad Pro and Apple Pencil.

Besides the tablets, all three winners will receive an exclusive, behind-the-scenes tour of the FCA Product Design studios in Auburn Hills, Michigan.  They’ll also be given the opportunity to spend one-on-one time with leading automotive designers.

Furthermore, they’ll be given a scholarship to attend the Precollege Summer Experience Transportation Design program at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit. The three week program teaches participants the “fundamentals of gestural sketching, drawing automotive concepts in perspective and how to translate designs into 3D models.”

If that wasn’t enough, the winners will receive their awards at the EyesOn Design Vision Honored black tie event and serve as junior judges at the EyesOn Design Car Show.
