A BMW M8 Gran Coupe Individual recently showcased at the 2020 Montreal Motor Show that was painted in Twilight Purple might be one of the best-looking examples of the series we’ve ever come across.

BMW has offered a host of different shades of purple throughout the years but this new shade of Twilight Purple available through its Individual customization arm is the brightest we’ve come across. It sparkles beautifully under the lights of BMW’s booth in Montreal and we’re sure looks even better in the daylight.

While this appears to be an M8 Gran Coupe as opposed to the M8 Competition Gran Coupe (evidenced by the lack of a Competition badge and the shadow chrome trimmings), the car is well-equipped with a host of M Performance parts so it really stands out. This includes a carbon fiber front splitter, carbon front air intake surrounds, carbon wing mirrors, a carbon fiber roof, carbon rear diffuser, and a sharp lip spoiler on the trunklid.

A BMW Canada representative told us that “all Individual colours come with no added cost on this model”.

Powering both the BMW M8 Gran Coupe and M8 Competition Gran Coupe models is a twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 engine that produces 592 hp and 553 lb-ft (750 Nm) in standard form and 616 hp and 553 lb-ft (750 Nm) in Competition grade. Both models feature an eight-speed M Steptronic transmission sending power through a potent all-wheel drive system. The M8 Gran Coupe completes the sprint to 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 3.3 seconds while the M8 Competition Gran Coupe takes 3.2 seconds.

Correction: While the current official BMW configurator shows a premium for Individual colors, BMW Canada told us that they’re offering them at no extra cost on the M8 Gran Coupe, with the soon to be launched new version of the configurator to reflect this change.
