A trailer for the second season of Formula 1: Drive to Survive has been released before the Netflix series is released on February 28.

The series was created in part to help increase exposure for the sport across the United States and the first season proved a winner. However, the Mercedes-AMG and Scuderia Ferrari teams refused to participate in the first season. That’s no longer the case as the sport’s two leading teams will both be featured in season 2.

In this trailer, we get to see how season 2 will pick up some of the stories from the first season. For example, Daniel Ricciardo’s decision to leave Red Bull Racing for Renault at the conclusion of 2018 was a key focus in the first season and in this new one, we will see how the Australian adapts to his new team. Additionally, Drive to Survive will offer an in-depth insight into Lewis Hamilton, Sebastian Vettel, and Max Verstappen, among other drivers.

There will also be scenes detailing the rollercoaster season of Pierre Gasly who started at Red Bull Racing before being demoted to Red Bull Toro Rosso halfway through the season. The events surrounding the death of Formula 2 driver Anthoine Hubert at the Belgian Grand Prix will also be detailed, particularly how it impacted Gasly who was a close friend of the young driver.

A Reddit post indicates that we should also expect to see some fireworks from Haas’ entertaining team principal Günther Steiner.
