Spain is a hotbed for the novel coronavirus at the moment and the country, like many others around the world, has some serious lockdown measures in place to try and stop the spread of the virus.

A motorcyclist recently discovered just how serious the lockdown is being treated. The following video was recently shared on Facebook and shows a pair of police officers confronting a young man on a dirtbike in an unspecified Spanish city.

While we don’t speak Spanish, you can hear one of the officers getting into a pretty serious verbal altercation with the biker, presumably reiterating the importance of staying at home. The biker gets upset and pushes the police officer in the chest, a bad idea regardless of the situation and a particularly stupid thing to do in the tense times we’re currently living in.

Not impressed, the two officers grab hold of the man and throw him to the ground before pushing him on his stomach and trying to restrain him. The man continues to resist and tries to push the officer in the face. Two other officers soon arrive on the scene and handcuff him.

Just last week we came across a video showing police officers in India using particularly extreme measures to keep people off the streets during the pandemic. That clip showed officers indiscriminately hitting motorists with batons and was quite shocking.

Spain has been one of the worst hit countries by the coronavirus, reporting 78,797 confirmed cases as of Sunday March 29 and no less than 6,528 deaths.
