You’d think that by simply owning a Bentley you wouldn’t feel the need for even more exclusivity, but that’s actually rarely the case when it comes to luxury products.

Case in point the 1 of 10 Continental GT Aurum Edition by Mulliner, built exclusively for Bentley customers in the Middle East, India and South Africa. This particular one was recently on display at the carmaker’s Dubai showroom in the UAE.

All Aurum Edition cars get the Black Specification as standard, as well as 22-inch gold painted ‘Mulliner Driving Specification’ wheels, exclusive gold Mulliner badging and gold exterior detailing. This one also comes with a black exterior, creating a powerful contrast along with all that “gold”.

Inside, the gold theme is continued by the 18-karat gold-plated treatplates, plus all the gold accents, like the gold strip that sweeps through the Piano Black dashboard fascia. Meanwhile, there’s contrasting gold stitching on the quilted surfaces, gold stitched edges for the floor mats, and a gold stripe in the 12 o’clock position on the steering wheel.

As soon as you set foot in this Continental GT, you know it’s a Mulliner car through and through – this being probably the best way to describe the spec, which thankfully isn’t as flamboyant as you’d expect when you hear about gold-themed cars.

Finally, let’s discuss what’s underneath the hood. The ’12’ emblems on the side of the car point to the number of cylinders. The car’s 6.0-liter W12 unit produces 626 HP (635 PS) and 664 lb-ft (900 Nm) of torque, allowing for a 0-60 mph (96 km/h) acceleration time of 3.6 seconds, and a top speed of 207 mph (333 km/h).
