Nowadays, whenever we associate the automotive sector with the helicopter industry, it’s always on behalf of some quad-copter or flying taxi type of thing.

Well, let’s set all that aside for now and check out this spectacular independently made illustration depicting a hypothetical Lamborghini-designed helicopter. It’s called the Falco and it was penned by Tomas Zumalacarregui Arregui.

Falco, by the way, is a fitting name for such a machine, as it translates directly into “Hawk”.

You may have noticed that helicopters don’t tend to look particularly sleek, not in the same way cars do. This one, however, was rendered using a lot of sharp angles and if we’re being honest, it looks more like a prop from a sci-fi movie (especially with that dual rotor tandem design) than a Lamborghini product, but that’s also a compliment.

The images that show it putting in work for the Italian coast guard indicate that this would be a somewhat large helicopter, able to take in multiple passengers behind the pilot and co-pilot seats (total of 9 individuals), as well as medium-sized merchandise.

According to its designer, the Falco would also be capable of high cruise speeds thanks to its aerodynamic design. Its interior however is still a “work in progress”.

If you’re curious to see what it really looks like when a carmaker helps design a helicopter, check out the Peugeot-designed Airbus H160. It seems to be about the same size as the hypothetical Falco, albeit with a less visually aggressive shell and a traditional rotor setup.
