Audi has released a new photo gallery of the all-new A3 Sedan to coincide with the model’s arrival in European dealerships.

Based on the MQB Evo platform, just like the VW Golf, Skoda Octavia and Seat Leon, the 2021 Audi A3 Sedan is sportier, more digitalized and more connected than ever. The sedan benefits from many innovations from the full-size luxury segment, including in the areas of infotainment, suspension, and driver assist systems.

This comprehensive photo gallery shows every exterior and interior detail of the new compact sedan which, together with the A3 Sportback, is positioned at the top of VW Group’s compact car food chain.

We’ll let you be the judge of the design, but we will tell you that the light blue car features the sporty S-line package while the black one is an Edition One. Customers can make their new A3 Sedan look even smarter with the optional Matrix LED headlights which also sport digital DRLs.

Inside, the 2021 A3 Sedan adopts the same dashboard as the A3 Sportback featuring a tiny new shifter, aluminum or carbon inlays, striking door openers, and an instrument panel with a black-panel look. A first for the A3, the base upholstery is made of recycled PET bottles and comes with contrasting stitching. The 2021 A3 Sedan is roomier than its predecessor in all areas (it’s 4,500-mm / 177.1-in long), offering more space for passengers but an identical cargo volume of 425 liters (15 cu ft).

The infotainment system consists of a 10.25-inch digital instrument panel (a 12.3-inch unit available as an option) and a central 10.1-inch MMI touch display slightly angled towards the driver. The connectivity is improved significantly compared to the previous A3 Sedan, especially with the optional MMI Navigation plus system. According to Audi, the new, third-generation modular infotainment platform offers a computing power 10 times higher than that of its predecessor.

As for available driver assist systems, they include Audi pre sense front, adaptive cruise assist, efficiency assist, exit warning, and cross-traffic assist, among others.

In Europe, Audi offers two TFSI petrol engines and two TDI diesels. The base choice is a 110 PS (109 HP) 1.0-liter TFSI three-cylinder coupled with a six-speed manual gearbox. Then there’s a 150 PS (148 HP) 1.5-liter TFSI offered with either a six-speed manual or a seven-speed S tronic dual-clutch. This engine can also be had with a 48V mild-hybrid system. Both diesel engines have a 2.0-liter displacement and offer 116 PS (115 HP) or 150 PS (148 HP), with the more powerful unit being offered solely with the S tronic dual-clutch gearbox.

At the start of production, all models will be front-wheel drive, but later on Audi will introduce quattro AWD models and more electrified variants. Prices in Germany start from €27,002 ($31,290) for the base three-cylinder model.
