Thoughts On This Euro-Tuned Mustang GT Convertible’s Custom Interior?

The sixth-generation Ford Mustang is no spring chicken anymore, so no amount of interior decoration is going to change the fact that its cabin dates back to 2015.

Of course, that hasn’t stopped Carlex Design from doing what they do best, which is dress up car interiors in expensive materials and come up with interesting-looking patterns that suit the overall character of the vehicle.

This particular Mustang GT Convertible now boasts a dual-tone black and red cabin, with Alcantara on the seats and the steering wheel, plus red accents and piping throughout the rest of the cabin. Compared to their last Mustang project, this one definitely looks more sporty.

Details include the red leather outer steering wheel hub, red 12 o’clock mark and the tuner’s name etched into the passenger-side dashboard panel, while the contrast stitching extends all the way to the rear panels.

Unfortunately, the Mustang’s more conventional-looking materials, like some cheap plastics, are still visible on the dashboard, doors and center tunnel, but that’s something you’ve got to live with when it comes to some cars.

As for this particular Mustang spec, it’s a GT Convertible, which in the United States can be purchased from $45,380. Standard features include leather-trimmed heated and cooled front seats, the SYNC3 infotainment system, heated mirrors with integrated turn signal indicators, a 9-speaker sound system and of course a 5.0-liter Ti-VCT V8 engine producing 460 HP and 420 lb-ft (570 Nm) of torque.
