The Hongqi E-HS9 has officially landed and was recently showcased in production guise at an event held by Chinese automaker FAW.

These images provide us with our first up-close and in-detail look at the luxurious SUV in its final form. As recent low-resolution photos from the car’s production line indicated, the E-HS9 looks remarkably similar to the E115 concept on which it is based.

Sitting up front is an intriguing grille that has vertical slats but in between these slates are thin areas of body color. It makes for a very interesting look. Also of note at the front end are LED daytime running lights that flow downwards and alongside the grille.

Other intriguing elements of the design include shapely C-pillars with a chrome finish, a spoiler stretching off the roof, and large taillights with an LED light bar connecting them. Car News China reports that 21- and 22-inch wheels will be available although it is unclear which wheels the white, purple, and green E-HS9 models pictured are sitting on.

The all-electric Hongqi E-HS9 will be fitted with a 215 HP and 258 lb-ft (350 Nm) electric motor at the front wheels and a 295 HP and 309 lb-ft (420 Nm) electric motor at the rear wheels to deliver a combined 510 HP and 568 lb-ft (770 Nm). Providing these motors with their juice is a 92.4 kWh battery pack.

Prices details have yet to be announced but they are expected to sit between 480,000 yuan (67,257) and 550,000 yuan ($77,065). Deliveries will start in September.
