2021 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Estate Offers Better Look At Dual-Screen Setup

The new generation Mercedes-Benz C-Class has revealed its new interior layout once more, with the latest batch of spy shots providing a good look at the center console.

Dominated by the huge infotainment system, which is positioned in the middle of the dashboard, beneath the three air vents, the interior also features a second screen on the center console which will be used to control the HVAC system. There’s a big digital instrument cluster behind the new steering wheel as well.

The rest of the cockpit is not visible in these scoops, though we can expect premium build quality and improved space for rear occupants. Thanks to the updated MRA platform it uses, rear legroom should be improved, despite the fact the new C-Class is expected to have similar exterior dimensions to the current iteration.

The versatile architecture will also allow it to implement different gasoline, diesel and electrified powertrains. The range-topping AMG C63 models will continue to challenge the likes of the Audi RS4 and BMW M3.

The latest scooped prototype is in the Estate body style, and it continues to feature the heavy camo and plastic cladding. Nonetheless, it does sport redesigned front and rear ends and should resemble the bigger Mercedes-Benz E-Class Estate once the wraps come off.

If nothing unexpected happens, the W206 generation of the C-Class should premiere before the end of the year in four-door sedan body style, with the Estate following shortly after. An All-Terrain variant could join the lineup, which will otherwise be completed by the Coupe and Cabriolet, due perhaps next year or in 2022.
