The C8-generation Chevrolet Corvette is already a pretty exotic-looking car (despite its mainstream price tag), but that hasn’t stopped a shop in the U.S. from trying to make it turn even more heads.

The company in question is Eikon Motorsport, which specializes in create Lamborghini-style scissor doors for all kinds of cars. The white Corvette pictured is the first example to be equipped with the shop’s scissor doors and is currently being displayed at a local Chevrolet dealership. Interestingly, Eikon says the dealer itself will offer the scissor doors to customers buying new C8s.

We’ve never been fans of aftermarket scissor doors but a look through the company’s social media pages show that it has many happy customers. It has equipped all kinds of cars with the Lamborghini-inspired doors, including C7 Corvettes, Ford Mustangs, Chevrolet Camaros, a Lexus LC500 and even a Kia Stinger.

We first got a glimpse at Eikon’s scissor doors for the C8 Corvette back in May when they were still under development. The process of fitting them doesn’t seem overly difficult and requires just the fitment of a bespoke hinge that bolts on and replaces the standard item. The design is also fully reversible so owners can return the doors to stock if they want to.

Prices for scissor doors from the company, also known as Vertical Doors, vary depending on the vehicle, but typically go for between $1,000 and $2,000.
