The Ariel Atom has long been one of the finest track-focused cars on the market, and this particular 2016 Atom 3S currently up for auction is one of the best you’ll find in the United States.

This Atom was built in the US under license from Ariel by TMI AutoTech in Virginia and was purchased by the seller in late 2015. It has only covered 846 miles (1,361 km) since and is actually registered for road use, hence why it features headlights, reverse lights and turn signals. It is being sold with a fitted cover, purchase documentation, an owner’s manual and a clean Montana title.

Ariel’s exposed chassis tubing and roll hoop have been powder-coated in silver and the body panels are finished in satin black with red accents. The front and rear spoilers are constructed from lightweight carbon fiber and the Atom has also been equipped with optional Lexan side panels and a glass windshield, according to the Bring A Trailer listing.

Sticking the British-born car to the road are 15-inch front and 16-inch rear wheels shod in Toyota Proxes R888 tires. Also featured are JRi adjustable dampers and four-piston Alcon calipers with slotted rotors, while the brake bias can be adjusted with a switch by the driver. As for the cockpit, it includes two racing seats, a fire suppression system and Sabelt five-point harnesses.

Power is provided by a turbocharged 2.4-liter Honda K24Z7 four-cylinder that pumps out 365 hp and 310 lb-ft (420 Nm) of torque. This grunt is sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.
