Lumma Design has showcased the wild bodykit it is developing for the new Land Rover Defender. Suffice to say that, if you like subtlety, this probably isn’t for you.
Lumma’s bodykit starts with flared front and rear wheel arches that increase the off-roader’s width by about 1.57 inches (40 mm). Additionally, the tuning company has overhauled the front fascia of the Defender with a new carbon fiber grille and a re-modeled bumper.

A plethora of other modifications have been made. For example, the Defender from Lumma Design, which is known as the CLR LD, features a bespoke hood with a large power bump finished in exposed carbon fiber. The Defender is also available with wheels varying between 19 and 23 inches that can be paired with on- or off-road tires, depending on the customer’s preference.
Rounding out the updates include an added roof panel with two integrated spotlights, bespoke side skirts, and a customized rear end with quad tailpipes and a new bumper.
Although not pictured, the tuner is also readying some unique interior upgrades, including aluminum pedals and personalized floor mats. Lumma is also working on engine and exhaust upgrades for the Defender with the aim of delivering the first examples in spring 2021.
What’s particularly exciting is the fact that the kit has been designed for the forthcoming flagship Defender that’s tipped to feature a powerful V8. While it is unclear if this engine will be the automaker’s tried and tested 5.0-liter supercharged mill or a twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 sourced from BMW, it could have upwards of 600 hp on tap.
