The one and only Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse L’Or Blanc had a little run-in with some bales of hay during an exotic car event in Switzerland over the weekend.

A handful of videos shared online show the Bugatti drag racing another car at an event hosted by the Supercar Owners Circle club, which appears to have taken place at the Gstaad Airport and is one of many that the supercar club holds in Switzerland.

As the Bugatti screams past the finish line, the driver can be heard slamming on the brakes. The French hypercar’s airbrake is deployed and the tires are screeching as the driver tries to bring the car to a stop. At one stage, a puff of smoke comes out from the rear and mere moments later, the Veyron slams into a bunch of hay bales towards the end of the runway.

Based on the videos alone, it is impossible to say what kind of damage the car sustained. However, we know someone that was attending the event and had the chance to see the Veyron after the incident.

He says that the car avoided any serious damage and that one of the fins running through the center of the right air intake cracked in half. It won’t be repairable and the car will need a new bumper. Given the car’s one-off paint scheme, we figure it won’t be cheap, but if you can own a Veyron, then you surely can afford it.

Besides, things could have been much worse, as a recent crash involving a Bugatti Chiron proved.
