Lamborghini only ever built 186 examples of the Murcielago SV, and this example residing in Malaysia was recently spotted with a rather peculiar modification.
From the factory, the Murcielago SV came equipped with a set of lightweight wheels with gloss-black spokes. These rims suit the aggressive nature of the limited-run model to a tee and yet, this SV is wearing the wheels from a BMW. Yes, a BMW.
This photo was shared on Reddit a few days ago and appears to have been snapped at a tire and wheel shop in Malaysia. The SV in question is painted yellow and includes the available high rear wing and the small SV stickers on the doors. It is an otherwise stunning car – apart from the wheels, that is.

Does the owner of the rare Italian exotic actually drive around like this? Probably not. As commenters in the subreddit pointed out, the tire shop probably just fitted these wheels temporarily while repairing the standard Murcielago SV wheels or putting on new tires. By fitting these wheels, the shop saves space by not having the Lamborghini taking up a hoist or a lift unnecessarily. Nevertheless, it does make for a rather peculiar sight.
Lamborghini originally intended on producing 350 examples of the Murcielago SV. However, it stopped production after just 186 examples in order to ready the production line for the Aventador.
Compared to lesser Murcielagos, the SV’s 6.5-liter, naturally aspirated V12 was modified to 661 hp at 8,000 rpm and 487 lb-ft (660 Nm) of torque thanks to an upgraded intake system and revised valve timing, while total weight was down by 220 lbs (100 kg).
