Following the highly successful ‘Pastel’ collection unveiled last year at Pebble Beach, Rolls-Royce decided to try colors that are a bit more vibrant for 2020, releasing this ‘Neon Nights’ limited edition color palette, inspired by exotic plants and animals.

Buyers can purchase Neon Nights limited edition variants of the Dawn, Wraith and Cullinan Black Badge, all featuring this neon-effect paint.

While the collection was created initially for clients in the United States, the carmaker decided to offer three further iterations of each color via commission worldwide, meaning that there are just four cars per color to be had.

“Neon Nights is a vibrant trilogy of Rolls-Royce Black Badges, whose inspiration comes from nature. The newly developed Bespoke paint is applied to the Black Badge variants of Wraith, Dawn and Cullinan – the darker and edgier ‘enfants terribles’ of the Rolls-Royce family,” said Rolls-Royce bespoke designer, Sami Coultas.

“Taking cues from the natural world, including an Australian green tree frog, a Hawaiian tree flower and an exotic butterfly, these limited hues show Black Badge bolder in colour, appealing to patrons around the world who really do dare to be different.”

The Wraith Black Badge is finished in Lime Rock Green, a near-luminous hue that can be found on the Australian green tree frog. The interior meanwhile is upholstered in Scivaro Grey leather, with Lime Rock Green accents (stitching and piping). The Dawn Black Badge is wearing Eagle Rock Red, just like the flowers of Ohi’a lehua, an evergreen tree native to Hawaii. Its interior is finished in Selby Grey leather with Koi Red stitching and piping.

As for the Cullinan SUV, it comes with a Mirabeau Blue finish on the outside and Arctic White leather on the inside, with some Lime Rock Green present too for additional contrast. Here, designers got their inspiration from the Rhetus periander, an exotic butterfly.

“In all three cars, the Technical Fibre fascia is embellished with a spectacular graphic. The paint effect provides an intense neon glow and depicts the distortion of artificial light with speed.”
