Built on the Common Modular Platform (CMP), the second-generation Mokka is up to 120 kg lighter than the outgoing model. It also offers a more responsive and agile chassis thanks to improved body stiffness. All models offer up to 350 liters (12.3 cu ft) of boot space with the rear seats in place – including the all-electric Mokka-e.

Inside, the new Mokka and Mokka-e gain the so-called Pure Panel display which features two wide screens measuring up to 10 and 12 inches in size and tilted towards the driver. The infotainment system comes with the latest features, including standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

As for powertrains, the 2021 Vauxhall Mokka-e features a 50 kWh lithium-ion battery and a 100 kW (136 PS / 134 HP) electric motor with 260 Nm (192 lb-ft) of torque. Under preliminary WLTP tests, the Mokka-e has a driving range of up to 201 miles (323 km) from a single charge.

For customers who don’t feel comfortable switching to an all-electric car, the regular Mokka offers two petrol units and a diesel, all turbocharged.

The base model is a 1.2-liter turbo petrol with 100 PS (99 HP) and six-speed manual, with another 1.2-liter unit delivering 130 PS (128 HP) in combination with either a six-speed manual or an eight-speed auto. Customers can also opt for a 110 PS (108 HP) 1.5-liter turbo diesel offered exclusively with a six-speed manual gearbox.

The base Vauxhall Mokka SE model offers a decent standard specification, including 16-inch alloys, 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, LED lights, as well as Automatic Emergency Braking and Forward Collision Alert.
