Manhart specializes in tuning BMWs but, earlier this year, they introduced the Toyota Supra-based GR 450.  Now the company is following up with an even more extreme GR 550.

Starting under the hood, the 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine has been equipped with an upgraded turbocharger, a carbon fiber air intake and an optimized ECU. There’s also new charge pipes, a high-performance radiator and a sports exhaust system which “leaves a lasting impression with its brute sound.”

Thanks to these modifications, the engine develops 542 hp (405 kW / 550 PS) and 568 lb-ft (770 Nm) of torque. That’s an increase of 207 hp (154 kW / 210 PS) and 199 lb-ft (270 Nm) over the standard Euro-spec Supra.

Manhart didn’t say how fast the model is, but the upgraded 2021 Supra 3.0 – which has 382 hp (285 kW / 387 PS) and 368 lb-ft (499 Nm) of torque in the United States – can accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 3.9 seconds. Given the sizable power grains on the GR 550, that number probably drops into the low to mid three second range.

Regardless of how fast it is, the GR 550 looks pretty aggressive as it has been equipped with a golden wrap, sporty graphics and a front spoiler from AC Schnitzer. The model also features aerodynamic side skirts, H&R lowering springs and 20-inch wheels with a satin black finish.

Since customization is the name of the game, owners can opt for different sport exhaust systems and a KW coilover suspension. They can also request brake and interior upgrades.
