In stock form, the Toyota GR Yaris is a very impressive car and has received rave reviews from around the world. However, aftermarket specialists HKS decided to extensively modify it and this is the result.

Immediately making this GR Yaris stand out from the regular model is the widebody Rocket Bunny kits that adds flared front and rear wheel arches, as well as a towering rear wing. The Yaris also features a set of forged aluminum Advan Racing R6 wheels and is running on high-performance Yokohama Advan A052 tires.

The highlight of the hot hatch, though, is its engine. As standard, the three-cylinder pumps out a touch over 250 hp. HKS has bolted on a larger turbocharger and a new intercooler with an integrated spray system and tweaked the ECU, so it delivered 375 hp. A 100-shot of nitrous was then added, lifting horsepower up to 475, an incredible figure when you consider that the engine’s internals remain untouched.

To showcase just how fast the car now is, it was recently taken to the famous Tsukuba Circuit in Japan where it completed a lap in just 58.4 seconds. That is a remarkable feat when you consider that the fastest production car to ever lap the circuit, the 2020 Nissan GT-R Nismo, needed 59.3 seconds to complete a lap.
