Fiat is introducing the refreshed range of the Abarth 595 hot hatch for the 2021 model year in Europe, which includes four different versions: the base 595, Turismo, Competizione, and Essesse.

The 2021 Abarth 595 will be available in both hatchback and convertible versions across the range, and is powered by a Euro 6D-compliant 1.4-liter turbo four-cylinder unit available in three output levels, depending on the trim level: 143 HP (145 PS) for the 595, 163 HP (165 PS) for the Turismo, and 177 HP (180 PS) for the Competizione and Essesse models.

The 2021 Abarth 595 Competizione finished in the new ‘Rally Blue’ matte paint

The most powerful 177 HP engine in the Abarth 595 Competizione and Essesse models is fitted with the Garrett GT1446 turbo, a mechanical limited-slip differential, Koni FSD shocks on all corners, and Brembo brakes with fixed aluminum calipers.

All versions of the tiny Italian hot hatch are fitted with a five-speed manual transmission but Fiat also offers a robotized sequential unit with shift paddles on the steering wheel as an option.

Aesthetic changes for the 2021 model year are limited to things like renaming the Sport mode to ‘Scorpion’, an updated interior for the Turismo model that now includes a Helmet Brown leather option, a matt Rally Blue exterior paint option, and a set of new 17-inch alloy wheels for the 595 Competizione, among others.

New interior options include Alcantara for the dashboard

Customers can also opt to have the dashboard trimmed in Alcantara, new leather seats, and a gear lever made out of carbon fiber. The range-topping Essesse variant of the 2021 Abarth 595 features new titanium tailpipes for the Akrapovič exhaust system.

All models come fitted with a standard 7-inch Uconnect infotainment system with optional Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A new BeatsAudio system is also available, featuring a total output of 480W and an 8-inch digital amplifier.

“A small supercar that can evoke a wealth of feeling on the road as well as on the track,” said Luca Napolitano, Head of EMEA Fiat, Lancia & Abarth Brands. “Today we present the new 595 range, completely refreshed, which makes the 595 even more current and distinctive. For our customers, both those more attentive to style and those who cannot do without performance, I’m sure they will appreciate the new solutions we’ve adopted, for all those details that make an Abarth a collector’s gem.”
