The Taycan is currently Porsche’s headline-grabbing model, but could you be actually better off buying the Panamera 4S E-Hybrid?

Powering the Panamera 4S E-Hybrid is a 2.9-liter twin-turbocharged V6 that delivers 434 hp paired to a 134 hp electric motor, bringing the combined output up to 552 hp and 553 lb-ft (750 Nm) of torque. In a straight line, it can hit 62 mph (100 km/h) in 3.7 seconds and reach a 185 mph (298 km/h) top speed.

While driving the car, Harry Metcalfe notes that when you turn the ignition on, it immediately starts in all-electric mode and can be driven at speeds of up to 80 mph (128 km/h) without any assistance from the combustion engine. He also comments that it feels very comfortable and poised on the road, even though it is very large, measuring over 5 meters in length.

There are some oddities, however. One of them is the central air vent placed just below the infotainment system that can only be opened, closed, and adjusted through the central touchscreen. This is rather bizarre as all the other air vents throughout the cabin can be controlled and adjusted manually.

The veteran reviewer also notes that the Panamera 4S E-Hybrid feels extremely quick, even though it certainly won’t keep pace with a Taycan.
