You may remember the ex-Michael Jordan Mercedes S600 Coupe that was up for sale a few months ago. As it turns out, that very same car is now offered again in an online auction, giving someone the opportunity to acquire a car owned by perhaps the world’s greatest basketball legend.

What’s curious about it is that the selling dealer, Beverly Hills Car Club, is the same one that put it on auction back in August 2020 on eBay, where the car was sold for $202k. The car now is offered over at Bring A Trailer, where the description says that the vehicle was acquired by Beverly Hills Car Club in September. That’s a bit odd…

In any case, it will be interesting to see what kind of money this Mercedes S600 Coupe can get, since it shows 157,000 miles on the odometer and features signs of a repaint on several body panels, along with scratches and cracks to the bumper covers.

What’s more, the selling dealer believes that the car hasn’t been serviced since 2011 and there’s visible corrosion on various suspension components.

Michael Jordan and his then-wife are listed as the original owners on the car’s title until 2003 and there’s a photo showing Jordan with the car during his ownership. The 1996 S600 Coupe also features a range of Lorinser components, including a set of 20-inch chrome wheels, square exhaust tips, and a rear spoiler.

The interior is finished in two-tone grey leather and polished wood trim and features a factory-fitted mobile phone that was programmed to display ‘JORDAN’ on its home screen.

It’s far from the perfect-condition Mercedes S600 Coupe that most might have preferred, so the question here is whether the Jordan association is enough to drive its price skywards. Guess we’ll have to wait and see.
