Lexus has announced the pricing and specs of the 2021 LX 570 S, which is the top-of-the-line spec of the flagship SUV, in Australia.

Available from AU$168,767, or US$129,483 at today’s exchange rates, it comes in Sonic Quartz or Starlight Black paint finishes and features a redesigned spindle grille up front, new bumper and two-tone 21-inch wheels with glossy black inserts that mimic the color scheme of those used on the LC.

The 2021 LX 570 S also sports a moulded ‘S’ badge on the tailgate, performance dampers said to improve the rigidity and cornering of the large SUV, and puddle lamps that display the ‘LX S’ logo. The semi-aniline perforated leather trim in Black or Garnet, a rich burgundy color exclusive for this model, alloy pedals and Shimamoku Grey trim are also included, and so is the Lexus Encore Platinum membership.

The LX 570 S is powered by a 5.7-liter V8 producing 270 kW (367 PS / 362 HP) and 530 Nm (391 lb-ft) of torque that’s mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. It has a towing capability of up to 3,500 kg (7,716 lbs) braked and can carry 138 liters (36.45 gallons) of fuel in the two tanks.

Should the LX 570 S seem a bit too much, customers can choose between three other versions. The range kicks off with the LX 450d, which starts at AU$137,636 (US$105,599) and is powered by a 200 kW (272 PS / 268 HP) and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) 4.5-liter turbodiesel V8. The LX 570 can be ordered from AU$146,636 (US$112,504) and the LX 570 Enhancement Pack is available from AU$165,436 (US$126,928).
