Dacia has started accepting pre-orders for the Comfort Plus version of the Spring EV in Germany. This variant of the electric car will arrive at dealers this fall and starts at €21,790 ($25,931), or €12,220 ($14,542) with the €9,570 ($11,389) government grant.
A 7-inch touchscreen navigation system, smartphone integration, rear parking sensors, reversing camera and metallic paint are all included, alongside orange accents inside and out. Customers can order a 30 kW fast charger as an option.

The entry level Comfort, which will also arrive in fall, will be even more affordable at €10,920 ($12,995) with the EV grant (€20,490/$24,384 without it), and comes as standard with manual air conditioning system, Bluetooth radio and a Mode 2 charging cable. White will be the base color and the metallic paintwork will be available at extra cost.
Both variants have a 45 PS (44 HP / 33 kW) and 125 Nm (92 lb-ft) electric motor, powered by a 27.4 kWh battery. The Spring has a total range of 305 km (190 miles) in the city and 230 km (143 miles) combined on the WLTP cycle. It sprints to 100 km/h (62 mph) in a disappointing 19.1 seconds and its top speed is a lackluster 125 km/h (78 mph).
At 3,734 mm (147 in) long, 1,579 mm (62.2 in) wide and 1,488 mm (58.6 in) tall, with a 2,423 mm (95.4 in) long wheelbase and 151 mm (5.9 in) of ground clearance, the Spring is Dacia’s smallest vehicle. By comparison, the third-gen Sandero hatchback, which entered production last year built around Renault’s CMF-B platform, is 4,088 mm (160.9 in) long, 1,848 mm (72.8 in) wide and 1,499 mm (59 in) tall.
