A unique 1965 Shelby 427 S/C Cobra replica is currently up for sale with an asking price of $475,000.

This Cobra is chassis CSX 4600 and whereas most other Cobra models feature lightweight aluminum bodies, the unpainted body of this example is finished in bronze that’s been hand-polished to create a mirror-like shade. Further adding to the vehicle’s unique appearance are a pair of racing stripes that have been brushed into the metal surface rather than applied with paint.

The car also features stainless steel side exhaust pipes and a chromed roll bar that adds some nice contrast. There are also Halibrand-style pin-drive knock-off wheels wrapped in Goodyear Eagle tires.

Found in the cabin are period-style black leather bucket seats and a leather-covered dashboard with a host of Speedhut performance gauges. The speedometer and tachometer also feature the signature of Carroll Shelby while the center emblem of the wood-rimmed steering wheel also features an engraving of his signature.

Power is provided by an aluminum-block 427 FE V8 engine that has been stroked and bored to an incredible 511 cubic inches (8.37 liters). The engine also sports eight 58-millimeter Borla independent throttle bodies and fuel injection to create a cool 650 hp and more than 670 lb-ft of torque. Drive is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a 3.54:1 differential.

The RM Sotheby’s listing fails to make any mention of how many miles the car has on the clock but regardless of the number, it’s bound to sell quickly.
