Chinese automaker Baojun has released new images of the RC-5W compact wagon.

The RC-5W was unveiled in August 2020 alongside the RC-5 sedan by the brand owned by the SAIC-GM-Wuling joint venture.

Unlike the launch car that was white, this RC-5W is painted in a much more flattering, and distinctive, shade of green and sits on a set of sporty 20-inch wheels with silver spokes. Even though the front fascia isn’t visible, it sports a big grille and very thin headlights.

The most obvious alteration made to the car is the fitment of a spacious pop-up tent that sits on top of the RC-5W’s roof, which should come in handy for owners who want to spend some time outdoors.

The RC-5 sedan and RC-5W wagon are available with a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine as well as a 1.5-liter turbocharged unit. The former is good for 98 hp, while the boosted version delivers 145 hp. Baojun offers a six-speed manual gearbox as standard and a six-speed automatic as an option.
