The Lamborghini Huracan Evo is getting smarter as the company has announced a series of tech focused upgrades.

Starting inside the vehicle, models now have Android Auto and Alexa when equipped with the Smartphone Interface and Connected Services option. These are notable additions as the car was originally limited to Apple CarPlay and internet radio.

While the benefits of Android Auto are obvious, Lamborghini noted Alexa can be used to control a variety of vehicle settings. These include the climate controls and heated seats as well as the navigation system, phone and radio. Alexa can also be used to pull up information from the Lamborghini Dinamica Veicolo Integrata system and control other Alexa-enabled devices such as gates, garage doors and lights inside your home.

In other tech news, the Lamborghini Connect system is gaining several new features which can be accessed through the Unica app. These include a car locator, vehicle status reports, and geofencing functions such as remote speed and valet alerts. Thankfully, you don’t have to buy a new car to enjoy the features as they can be retro-fitted to current models, at authorized Lamborghini dealerships, starting in mid-April.

Last but not least, the Huracan’s infotainment system is now capable of receiving over-the-air updates. The company also noted their “strategic collaboration” with Amazon will allow “continuous updating of Alexa’s functionality within Lamborghini models, with both companies working to develop further connectivity innovations and integrations.”
