Presented almost two years ago for Europe, the second generation Renault Captur has now touched down in Australia with deliveries kicking off this month.
The subcompact crossover is on sale in three trim levels named the Life, Zen and Intens, with pricing starting at AU$28,190 (equal to US$21,444), AU$30,790 (US$23,421) and AU$35,790 (US$27,225) respectively.

The entry-level Life comes with standard front and rear parking sensors, reversing camera, dusk-sensing LED headlights, heated side mirrors, 7-inch display and height-adjustable driver’s seat. It also has an electric parking brake, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, lane departure warning, lane keep assist and traffic sign recognition.
Go for the mid-range 2021 Captur Zen and you will enjoy features such power folding side mirrors, hands-free key card, rain-sensing wipers, automatic climate control and wireless charging pad. This version is offered with a two-tone exterior paint finish and extra safety gear, including blind spot warning and rear cross traffic alert.
Finally, the top-of-the-line Intens brings leather upholstery, a 9.3-inch infotainment system, 7-inch TFT driver display, sat-nav, Bose premium audio, LED ambient lighting and auto-dimming rearview mirror. A 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster is an option as part of the Easy Life Package.
Regardless of trim level, the second-gen Captur is available solely with a 1.3-liter turbocharged petrol engine that produces 113 kW (155 PS / 152 HP) and 270 Nm (199 lb-ft) of torque and is coupled to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox with paddle shifters mounted behind the steering wheel.
