Create Your Dream Land Rover Defender With Niels van Roij Design’s Heritage Customs

Coachbuilder Niels van Roij Design has just unveiled a tweaked version of the Land Rover Defender that it dubs the ‘Valiance.’

The upgraded off-roader comes courtesy of Heritage Customs, a tuning company founded by Niels van Roij. Work on the first Valiance has just been completed and the brand is taking orders from Land Rover Defender owners looking to add a unique flair to their rides.

Compared to some other projects from van Roij, the alterations made to the Defender are relatively minor. Customers are offered a plethora of different forged wheels measuring 20-inch and 22-inches and the example featured here also rocks a unique front fascia with a distinct grille. The customized Defender also features fender air vents crafted from solid aluminum and milled protective plates on the bonnet.

However, plenty of work has been performed to the interior of the Defender. Most notably, the seats have been trimmed in new black and white leather that includes Heritage’s logo embroidered on the headrests and sitting on the steering wheel. The white and black leather upholstery extends across the dashboard and door panels.

Customers are offered a plethora of ways to modify their dream Valiance model. For example, Heritage Customs can create personalized treadplates, laser engraved aluminum door inlays and dashboard trim, full leather door cards, and aluminum boot lid inserts.

Prices for the Valiance vary depending on what a customer orders; they start from €90,000 ($125,000) including the Defender itself, but excluding taxes.

“Each bespoke Valiance is a real design statement with distinctive, custom-made details such as solid aluminium air vents in the fenders and milled protective plates on the bonnet replacing the plastic faux diamond plate,” Heritage Customs co-founder Jan-Pieter Kroezen said. “Exclusive personal ideas can be added to all our hand-made cars. And a selection of distinctive colours, designs and even patterns are available for the Heritage Customs Valiance interior upholstery.”
