Dahler’s BMW ‘128tii’ Has 313 HP And Aggressive New Looks

BMW’s new 2021 128ti revives the automaker’s ‘ti’ (Turismo Internazionale) nameplate and while it is a good hot hatch straight from the factory, tuning specialists Dahler thought they could make it a little better. Introducing the BMW 128tii (Turismo Internazionale Iniezione), a car that gets its name from the limited-run BMW 2002 tii.

Dahler started its upgrade regime by tweaking the front-wheel-drive hot hatch’s 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that ordinarily produces 265 hp and 400 Nm of torque. Thanks to the fitment of a stainless steel exhaust with valves and ceramic-coated tailpipes, plus a tune of the ECU, the BMW 128tii produces 313 hp and 367 lb-ft (500 Nm), serious figures for a front-wheel-drive car.

Elsewhere, the Swiss tuner has provided the potent 1-Series model with an adjustable coilover suspension system that offers adjustability for compression and rebound damping, as well as height adjustment.

Dahler says the brakes that come standard with the 128ti were already impressive enough so it has left them untouched. Sitting over the standard brakes are new forged ultra-lightweight wheels that measure 20×8-inch at all four corners and are wrapped in 245/30 Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S tires.

A handful of exterior and interior modifications have also been made to the BMW. For example, it features a new splitter that provides it with lots of extra aggression and road presence. Dahler has also affixed a large, roof-mounted rear wing and applied a silver racing stripe over the car. Changes made to the interior include aluminum pedals, new floor mats, and freshly trimmed seats.
