In 2006 Dave Mustaine, lead guitarist and singer of Megadeth (and erstwhile Metallica member) walked into Ferrari-Maserati of Atlanta and bought this Aston Martin Vanquish S.

One of just 1,100 examples produced between 2004 and 2007, this low-mileage Vanquish S is for sale and might be up your alley even if you aren’t a fan of heavy metal. It is based on an aluminum composite chassis that was developed by Lotus and is powered by a V12 that displaces 5.9-liters and produces 520 hp at 6,500 RPM and 425 lb-ft of torque at 5,000 RPM. Paired to a six-speed automated manual gearbox, the car could hit 60 mph in 4.6 seconds.

The Vanquish S built on the first-generation V12 Vanquish introducing a number of subtle styling revisions. The nose was altered, a spoiler was sculpted into the trunk lid, and some mechanical improvements were integrated as well. All of it meant that the S could hit the 200 mph (320 km/h) mark, according to Aston.

This example has just 23,000 miles on the odometer and is in pretty good condition, though the dealer that is selling it replaced the rear sway bars to prepare for this sale. It has a clean Carfax report with no evidence of accidents and a clean Tennessee title.

It sits on 19-inch multi-spoke wheels that are wrapped in modern Michelin Pilot Sport rubber and features 14.9-inch slotted discs up front and 13-inch discs out back.

The silver Vanquish S, which comes with a black and silver interior, is for sale on Bring a Trailer and the auction ends on Thursday, May 27.
