Brabus Puts Mercedes-AMG GLS 63 Into A Nightclub Bouncer Suit

The 2021 Mercedes-AMG GLS 63 has been turned into the Brabus 800, with the known Benz tuner giving the SUV new looks inside and out, along with a power bump.

With the modified turbochargers and new software installed, the 4.0-liter V8 produces an additional 188 PS (185 HP / 138 kW) and 150 Nm (111 lb-ft) of torque, for a grand total of 800 PS (789 HP / 588 kW) – hence the name – and 1,000 Nm (737 lb-ft). From nought to 100 km/h (0-62 mph), it needs 3.8 seconds, almost half a second quicker than stock, and top speed is limited to 280 km/h (174 mph).

A stainless steel exhaust system, with quad tailpipes in carbon or titanium look that can be fitted to the standard part too, makes the V8 more sonorous in ‘Sport’ mode or more subtle in ‘Coming Home’ mode at the push of a button. The special control module for the suspension has reduced ground clearance by 25 mm (1 in), while still leaving room under the arches for 24-inch wheels. The pictured vehicle rides on the Brabus Monoblock M Platinum Edition 10×24-inch rims, wrapped in 295/35 tires.

The carbon fiber exterior add-ons comprise of the front apron, air deflectors, grille, wheel arch covers, rear diffuser and optional spoiler. The whole car is painted black, contrasted by the red signature stripes, and an illuminated Brabus logo rests on the grille.

Sporting a similar black and red theme, the cockpit is dressed in leather stitched together with grey string on the seats in a diamond pattern. Naked carbon elements can be seen on the dashboard and door panels, while the pedals, steering wheel paddle shifters and door pins are made of aluminum.

Any 2021 GLS 63 can be turned to this specification all at once or in stages. The pictured example is advertised on the tuner’s European website here for €308,968.4 ($377,211), and has 300 km (186 miles) on the odo.
