A car ended up crashing into the roof of a house in St. Louis, Missouri on Sunday morning in what has to be one of the most bizarre incidents we’ve ever seen.
Local media reports that the white Chevrolet Malibu was being driven down The Legends Parkway in Eureka, St. Louis when it careened off the road and slammed into a pine tree. The sedan then began to flip end-over-end down an embankment before slamming through an iron fence, getting airborne, and smashing nose-first into the roof of the home.
“If you look at that crash it’s like, how did somebody not die?,” fire department spokesman Scott Barthelmass said. “It’s literally incredible. (The car was) literally just saucering through the air end-over-end.”

The crash occurred at approximately 1:30 a.m. on Sunday morning and fire crews were quickly called to the scene, St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
The couple inside the house were sleeping just 10 feet away from where the Malibu crashed into the property. Remarkably, they avoided injury, as did the two teenagers who were inside the car. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch adds that the homeowner had to put out a small fire with a garden hose immediately after the crash.
Photos taken in the aftermath of the accident show that extensive damage has been done to both the house and the car. Evidently, the Malibu is a complete write-off and the house will require some expensive repairs.
