Russian YouTube channel Garage 54 produces some of the most intriguing car videos on the internet and have really taken things to a new level with their latest stunt.

After being sent a photo showing two Jeep Wranglers welded together into a single, insanely-wide vehicle, Garage 54 decided to do the same with their two Ladas and ended up making a Lada that isn’t just twice as wide as a normal one but also appears to be twice as entertaining to drive.

To create this ‘widebody’ Lada, the shop began by chopping off the sides of the cars and then lined them up next to each other. They then set about removing the wheels, brakes and suspension components and welded the two together. Interestingly, Garage 54 decided to retain both engines and both steering wheels, meaning you can drive the car with a co-driver, although they’ll need to make the same driving inputs.

To ensure the car didn’t rip in half, some serious chassis strengthening was also done.

While you could be excused into thinking that this thing is undrivable, it is actually fully functional and in the second video you’ll find below, the YouTubers actually brought the custom Lada to an airstrip for some dynamic testing where they discovered that it can do donuts with ease and looks like an absolute ball to drive.
