Order books for the 2022 Genesis GV70 have opened in the United States before the first customer cars start to arrive in the summer.

Those interested in securing an allocation to the attractive new SUV need to head over to the online configurator for the GV70 where they will be able to design their perfect GV70. From there, you can request a reservation and after that, a Genesis concierge will guide customers through the process of actually ordering and purchasing the GV70.

We know pretty much all there is to know about the U.S.-spec GV70 except for its price but it is expected to start at approximately $40,000 for the entry-level model while flagship variants could top out at around $60,000.

Those not seeking the ultimate in performance will probably be more than content with the standard 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. This powertrain is connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission and has all-wheel drive as standard. It is good for 300 hp and 311 lb-ft (422 Nm) in overseas specification, figures that should go unchanged for the U.S. model.

Shoppers who want a little extra go can also order the GV70 with a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 that is expected to deliver 375 hp and 391 lb-ft (530 Nm) of torque. It too has an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.

There are seven trim levels available, starting off with the 2.5T AWD range that includes the Standard, Select, Advanced, and Sport Prestige variants. Meanwhile, the 3.5T AWD is offered in Standard, Sport Advanced, and Sport Prestige guises. Interestingly, the Genesis configurator only allows shoppers to select their desired trim level, the paint color, and the interior finish, and does not include any individual options.
