Airports have an automotive culture all their own as there is an interesting mix of tugs, luggage haulers and transportation vehicles.

While watching them can help pass the time on dreaded layovers, the Bologna Airport might have one of the coolest ‘Follow Me’ cars – a Lamborghini Huracán Evo.

Thanks to a renewed partnership between Lamborghini and the airport, a Huracán Evo will be guiding arriving and departing aircraft around the airport until January 7th of 2022. Despite having a relatively short tenure, the car has been equipped with a special livery designed by Lamborghini Centro Stile. It features Arancione (Orange) Matte accents, “reminiscent of the operating vehicles in aircraft maneuvering areas,” which contrast with a Verde (Green) Turbine Matte body.

The Huracán Evo also sports a roof-mounted light bar and “Follow Me in Our Beautiful Country” badging. Furthermore, the vehicle has been equipped with a radio that allows the driver to communicate with the control tower.

Like the standard model, the Follow Me car has a 5.2-liter V10 engine that produces 631 hp (470 kW / 640 PS) and 443 lb-ft (600 Nm) of torque. It’s connected to a seven-speed dual clutch transmission, which sends power to an all-wheel drive system. This enables the Huracán Evo to rocket from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 2.9 seconds, before hitting a top speed in excess of 202 mph (325 km/h). Of course, the Follow Me car will probably spend the majority of its time puttering along the tarmac.
