With the Porsche Macan getting a little bit long in the tooth, there is nothing better, or rather simpler, than slapping on a set of 21-inch aftermarket alloy wheels to spice it up.

The ten-spoke rims from Cor.Speed feature a Gunmetal Matt finish combined with red hub caps and red Barracuda Racing bolts. Their dimensions are 9.0×21 with 265/40 tires at the front and 10.5×21 with 295/35 tires at the back.

For a perfect fit, Aerotechnik Fahrzeugteile AG from Stein am Rhein added SSC spacers (15 mm at the front and 10 mm at the back) and lowered the Macan’s air suspension by 45 mm.

While the alloy wheels look great in the German SUV, those low-profile tires will definitely limit any off-road credentials and make the driver avoid potholes.

Those wheels wouldn’t look out of place on a sportscar.

The model pictured is a 2020 Macan Turbo powered by a 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 producing a healthy 434 HP (440 PS / 324 kW) and 406 lb-ft (550 Nm) of torque. It may be less powerful than the Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio, BMW X3 M, and Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 S, but it certainly does the job with a 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) acceleration time of 4.5 seconds and a top speed of 168 mph (270 km/h).

The Macan was introduced in 2014 as Porsche’s smallest SUV slotting below the popular Cayenne. Following the footsteps of the latter, it quickly became one of Zuffenhausen’s best-sellers. In 2018, it received a facelift in order to keep up with the competition.

While the all-new and fully electric second-generation Macan is due to be unveiled in 2022, Porsche will also update the first-generation and keep offering it as an ICE alternative.
