The all-new Hyundai Sonata N Line will make its theatrical debut when Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins hits cinemas on July 23.

Product placement by automakers in Hollywood movies, especially action flicks, is nothing new and in Snake Eyes there will be no less than three Hyundai models featured, including an Elantra and a Sante Fe.

The film follows actor Henry Golding as Snake Eyes who joins an ancient Japanese clan called the Arashikage after saving the life of their heir apparent. He is taught the ways of the ninja warrior but after secrets from his past are revealed, Snake Eyes’ honor and allegiance to the Arashikage are tested.

During one scene of the film, the Sonata N Line stars in a high-paced car chase where it is reversed off the second level of a car transporter and spins around 180 degrees.

“We are thrilled to partner with Hyundai Motor on Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins and bring our journey to life with exhilarating action sequences using stylish and sporty cars,” senior vice president of International Marketing Partnerships at Paramount Pictures, Irene Trachtenberg said in a statement.

Hyundai will celebrate the car’s presence in the film with the launch of a special Sonata N Line ‘Night Edition’ for the U.S. market and ‘The Black’ edition for the Korean market. Both models will be launched during the third quarter of the year.

As a refresher, the Sonata N Line is powered by a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with 290 hp and 311 lb-ft (422 Nm) which are sent to the front wheels.
