The Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport recently touched down in the United States and the French car manufacturer is enjoying such incredible sales figures in the U.S. that North America has now become the automaker’s most important region.

Orders for new Bugatti models in North America were seven times higher in the first half of the year than they were in the same period in 2020. Sure, the coronavirus pandemic obviously had an impact on sales last year but it shows that Bugatti continues to reap the rewards of growing its range of models and introducing limited-run cars such as the Chiron Pur Sport, Super Sport, and the Divo. Traditionally, Europe has been the biggest region for Bugatti.

“These excellent results are, in large part, due to our engaged dealer network in North America,” chief operating officer of Bugatti of the Americas Cedric Davy said in a statement. “Following the virtual debut of the Chiron Pur Sport, we brought the car to dealers across the region, where they were able to demonstrate the qualities of a completely new offer from Bugatti – a vehicle focused on agility and even faster acceleration, rather than top speed. In fact, 70% of Pur Sport orders came from customers who are new to the brand.”

The rest of 2021 is shaping up to continue being hugely successful for Bugatti in North America with it generating “significant interest” in the Chiron Super Sport that was unveiled four weeks ago.
